Désirée Wenger
Theatre Director
Dramaturg/Writer
I am a theatre director and writer (she/her) originally from Switzerland and studied directing at Mountview Academy in London. Since graduating in 2021 I have worked at Schauspiel Bern in Switzerland as an assistant director in residency across many genres for a year, where I have also directed two scenic readings. Right now I am co-writing two new musicals and training as an Intimacy coordinator.
I am looking for director's assistantships as well as emerging director opportunities.
I am interested in multilingual work, work focussing on identities, trauma narratives and political themes, as well as adaptations or mash-ups of classics with new writing, and devising. Street and immersive as well as touring are also of interest to me.
