Clara Janssen 凯俐 (she/her) is a born-and-raised Singaporean theatre maker, performer and director currently based in London. She creates and facilitates work fuelled by curiosity, play and the human experience. As a director, her interest spreads across devising, scripts and new writing, as well as multi-disciplinary projects.
She is currently working on developing her play 'Read The Room', which uses mask, puppetry, film and comedy to investigate our relationship with private and public spaces. She is also currently directing a play for the Act II Festival 2023.
She has has a habit of designing zines/posters for each her shows, and most recently made a 'paper animation' for Mercy Collective's Essex Have Mercy.
