Contemporary Writer Transdisciplinary Theatre Maker Empowered Performer Creative Technologist Problem Solver

Hi I'm Jack, I got into drama originally through drama therapy when starting secondary school and have used it as a way to express myself and help me and others with confidence. Now for the last 3 years I have taken this passion further and have been studying on the University of Arts London Contemporary Theatre course alongside a diploma in Creative Coding. I'm interested in community based work especially that which can be quite radical in its topics as a way of starting difficult conversations. I like the use of music (not musicals) within performances as a way to punctuate the messages and words. In the lockdown I got interested in and have been trying to develop a virtual reality based practice as I believe it keeps the liveness of theatre but has the ability to connect and reach an audience all across the globe. This technology practice has continued into playing with A.I as key themes in my work I feel revolve around what it means to be human.
I am applying today as someone quite new to making work but I have a keen passion and lots of energy and ideas to give and to help learn.
