Kolja Schallenberg

Director

Kolja is a classically trained (University of Music and Theatre Hamburg/ Germany, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts London, Shakespeare’s Globe London), award winning writer and director, he is passionate about connecting classical language with contemporary theatre.

He’s traveling worldwide and directing high end productions of all genres such as Massachusetts - Bee Gees Musical (German Tour including original Bee Gees members), Samsara - The Musical (World Tour), 24hrs- LifeDreams (National Theatre Bochum), Breakfast at Goethe’s (National Theatre Nürnberg), On the Harm of Nicotine (Schauspielhaus Dortmund), Bacchae (Theatre League Germany), Hollywood Classics (The Hippodrome London) and Songwriters Showcase (The Other Palace London) just to name a few.

He often draws upon his cultural experiences in his work, having grown up in Germany and Sweden, fluent in both languages as well as English.
