I am a writer and theatre maker based in Belfast. My work has appeared across the UK, Ireland, in Sri Lanka and New York.
My latest show 'Anthem' was a hit at Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival 2021. My monologue 'Haven' was part of 1st Origins Irish Festival in New York, and recorded by the Lyric Theatre for their 'Listen at the Lyric' series in Autumn 2020 – the show was New York Times Critics' Pick in January 2021.
My show 'Jade City' was at Bunker Theatre in London in September 2019, produced by View From Here Theatre Company.
I am currently under commission with Brusier Theatre Company to create a contemporary adaptation of Mother Courage and Her Children by Bertolt Brecht. I am also working with View From Here to create a new play exploring ideas of Britishness, class and housing in London. In 2019 I was awarded a Jerwood New Work Fund to support my work. In 2020 I received Artist Development support from the Mac. In January 2021 I received the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival Theatre Award. I was part of BBC WritersRoom Belfast Voices group 2018-2019 and Lyric New Playwrights Programme 2018.
I deliver socially engaged practice theatre projects with children, young people and adults, working as Lead Artist on engagement projects. I studied at Goldsmiths, University of London, achieving Ba Hons Drama and Theatre Arts and also Ma Drama and Theatre Arts (Drama in Community, Education and Social Settings).
I am currently freelancing with Kabosh as Project Manager and also with Young at Art as Drama Facilitator, as well as writing and theatre making.
