Meneka Das

Actor Theatre Director Film/TV Director

My name is Meneka I am an actor, writer and director originally from India based in London.

Growing up both in India and London has deeply impacted and defined my journey as a filmmaker. It has given me the ability to be an observer and broadened my own idea of who I am in the world and what I have to offer.

As an actor I discovered my passion for diverse stories with strong women voices that inspired me to turn to writing and directing to help bring them to the stage and screen.

A journey which has tested my determination but also help me understand the power of consistently bettering my skills.

I have written and directed three shorts films, a short play and
currently directing Apologia a play by Alexi Kaye Campbell, at The Questors Theatre London.

I see the Creator programme as an ideal opportunites for someone like myself to exchange experiences with peers and connect with like minded artist to create work for theatre.
