Franziska Detrez is a German theatre director and performer based in Dublin and London. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing from The Lir Academy of Dramatic Art in Dublin.
Her most recent theatre directing work includes a production of Gillian Greer's “Meat” at the Lir Academy in Dublin (Ireland) and Isabel de Santa Rita Vás "Who sits behind my eyes?" in Auroville (India).
With her performance art collective “Schmarrnintelligenz, die” she is constantly producing live shows between theatre, performance and digital art since 2012.
Over the last years, she has worked as assistant director and stage manager in productions at the Gandersheimer Domfestspiele in Germany and the Konzert Theater Bern in Switzerland. Since 2015 she has repeatedly worked with the Auroville Theatre Group in India and recently collaborated with the Estonian Polygon Teater. She has also assisted Ronan Phelan at Rough Magic in Dublin as well as Wayne Jordan on a production at the Lir Academy.
