Katy is a queer, disabled, graduate, Churchill Fellow and Producer with 9 years’ experience in her craft and has worked on projects with an national and international remit. Katy has worked in theatre, film, on community projects, within performing arts schools and with companies based abroad. After achieving a fellowship in theatre fundraising, Katy is working towards becoming an accredited Disability Access Consultant after completing training with an organisation who are world leaders in access & inclusion (CAE); whilst also working as a Access Support Worker.
Katy has worked in producing teams on projects with the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, nabokov Theatre Company, Watford Palace Theatre and with Roundhouse Resident Artists. She has collaborated with an Oscar nominated Director, Olivier winning artists and worked in a producing team on an Olivier nominated show (The Government Inspector [2016]). Her passion has led her to work on the Ramps on the Moon initiative, to help address the access barriers in national touring for performers and creatives with disabilities.
Katy is passionate about producing work that is entertaining and accessible to as wider audience as possible, both in terms of disability and popular tastes; whilst maintaining her dedication to diverse representation on stage and within creative teams. At present Katy has started a second research project in commercial income generation within theatre.
