Florian (they/she) is a London-based theatre maker originally from Singapore. They are an English Literature and Philosophy graduate from Durham University, where they started producing theatre and radio dramas. They are bilingual in English and Mandarin, and grew up performing Mandarin crosstalk comedy, later training in the Suzuki Method of Actor Training and Viewpoints with Nine Years Theatre, and in embodied practice with Ang Gey Pin. They are currently a core member of the Singaporean Mandarin literary collective Matter.Less, which specialises in theatrical and multimedia adaptations of literature, as well as translation and new writing. They are interested in producing and directing devised and multidisciplinary work that represents the experiences of queer, minority ethnic, and migrant identities.
