Playwright Drag artist Actor Costumer

Johan Amatsakio (he/they) is a performer, writer, model, costumer and drag artist “Bard The Beholder”.

Drawing from their Indonesian heritage and undergrad study in Chinese and Japanese culture, they use their skills in theatre and drag spaces to explore the BESEA experience, transness, migration, and climate change.

As Bard The Beholder, they use their eco-conscious and self-taught costume skills as a medium to communicate these themes across national and international stages via mixed media performances, lip-sync, spoken word, dance.
