Jesse Cooper

Director

In 2006, I received government funding for the inception of Dramarama Theatre of Vancouver Island, producing theatre, Mosaic youth talent fundraisers, and commissioned films for organizations including Homalco First Nation, The BC Heart &
Lung Cancer Association, Rotary Club, and Victoria Shakespeare Society. I was the proprietor and Artistic Director of Dramarama until moving to London in 2012.

My original play, Telling of the Bees, won the Mythical Voices contest withVancouver's Theatre in the Raw, and toured the province in 2009, directed by Broadway lyricist Jay Hamburger (Godspell) and starring Broadway veteran Sean Allan (Mame, Half a Sixpence).

My current interests are Absurd theatre, Physical theatre, and Musicals. He/Him
