Georgia Andrews
Producer
Theatre & Film Maker
Director
Georgia combines razor-sharp text work with immediacy, listening and presence to reinvigorate and reframe 'classics', often as a Trojan horse for contemporary considerations of marginalisation and othering.
Described as "exciting and provocative, as culturally and politically relevant as it gets", her work combines aesthetics from cult classic film and theatre practice with contemporary poetics of access and inclusion to forge bold, innovative work with the audience at the centre of the action, innovating in ways that ensure nobody is left behind.
CURRENT: developing a neuroqueer Shakespeare methodology & facilitative leadership skills for the co-creation of brave spaces, supported by the Arts Council Developing Your Creative Practice grant.
NEXT: Directing an all-female & non-binary tour of Hamlet to National Trust properties, and Assistant Directing 1623 Theatre's upcoming bilingual BSL & English production of The Winter's Tale
As an actor, Georgia continues to work with veteran and pioneer companies including the RSC, Shakespeare North Playhouse, The Show Must Go Online, Shake-Scene & StreathamSpace.
