Harvey Evans

Director Opera Director Opera Singer

Harvey Evans is a Welsh bilingual Director from South Wales. Harvey is committed to creating adventurous projects grounded in curiosity and collaborative practice. He is keen to develop new operas and theatrical experiences which represent our communities, and founded May Street Opera to make responsible work that is accessible, inclusive and respectful. He recently represented RESEO and Operasonic at Festival Aix- en-Provence. He is currently creating a short film with Operasonic funded by the British Council’s Wales in France Cultural Fund and an exciting new Welsh drama for the National Eisteddfod.
Harvey trained as a Baritone at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and graduated with a First in Vocal performance with experience of performing and directing in English, Welsh, French, German and Italian. He also works as a Stage Manager and has toured internationally with National Dance Company Wales as a Showcaller and is also a Young Consultant for Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru.
