John Kurzynowski
Theatre Maker

Performer
Facilitator
I’m a formerly Brooklyn-based, currently London-based
theatre & performance maker, producer and lecturer.
I make work about the making of work. I stage theatrical meditations on the staging of theatrical productions. I am interested in process as product — the manifestation of the practicing of an artistic practice as a staged work of theatre or performance. I work with ensembles of artists interested in investigating the collective practice of conjuring a performance through devised rituals of practicing said performance.
Through my extensive collaborations with nonprofit arts organisations, I have cultivated a unique set of skills that enables me to produce work in a variety of artistic mediums. I frequently direct, produce, perform, devise and facilitate new works with award-winning theatre and performance companies.
